We accept veterinarians, students and veterinary technicians to join us as professionals on our expeditions! As a veterinarian you have many opportunities for surgery and medical treatment, including many foreign animal diseases. As a student you can work side by side with the veterinarians; learning and practicing many technical tasks; observing and helping with surgery and aiding in animal treatment. As a technician, you are able to practice your technical skills and work in challenging environments. This is a wonderful opportunity to engage in your dreams while experiencing another culture.
We travel to Guatemala approximately once yearly, and a current passport is required for the trip. Secure transportation and lodging are provided by the organization; however volunteers are responsible for their plane tickets and a small contribution for food. The ability to speak Spanish is not required, but always is helpful!
If you are interested in joining one of our trips, please email us your information.
